Overview

Teaching has been considered as exploratory and for investigations.

Some 30 years ago I started teaching more generalized studio courses, and for many years worked with Doug Garofalo, Clare Lyster and Dan Wheeler. About 10 years ago, work shifted to specialized seminars on specific topics, such as the relationship of art and architecture, or digital vs. analog, or complex geometries.

Since then course work has addressed several specialized areas:

1) plastic shapes - use of complex geometries in abstract form

2) public protests and urban spaces

3) architecture and value, in particular, what are the ways in which architecture creates or adds value?

4) complex form and advanced structure using advanced engineering software (3D graphic statics).
